Getting started
Introduction
What Bytloop Mail is, who it is for, and when to reach for it.
Bytloop Mail is a multi-tenant email platform that combines a transactional sending API with a shared inbox for the humans on your team. One workspace, one set of verified domains, one place to see every message that goes out or comes back in. If you have ever paid for Resend or Postmark alongside Front or Missive, Bytloop Mail is designed to replace both.
Who it is for#
Product teams that ship email as part of their app and also read replies to that email. The API surface is meant for engineers wiring transactional and broadcast sends into a backend; the inbox is meant for support, marketing, and ops people who reply to whatever those sends generate. Both audiences work off the same domains, the same suppression list, the same audit trail.
If you only need one side of that — say, a scripted nightly send with no inbound at all — the API is enough on its own. If you already have a shared inbox tool you like, you can point verified domains at Bytloop and use only the API. There is no seat fee on the inbox.
When it is a good fit#
Reach for Bytloop Mail when you want:
- A clean REST API for transactional email with bearer-token auth, HMAC-signed webhooks, and a suppression list enforced on every send.
- A place for non-engineers to read and answer replies without exposing the raw provider console.
- Multi-tenant isolation — separate orgs on the same login, scoped domains, audiences, keys, and mailboxes.
- A predictable pricing shape: pay for what you send, not per inbox seat.
When it is not#
Bytloop Mail is not a marketing-automation suite with visual journey builders across dozens of channels, and it is not a help-desk with ticket queues and CSAT surveys. Those are big surfaces and staying focused keeps the platform fast and the API small. If either is your primary need, tools built around those workflows will serve you better.
